Kantara to get a sequel in later half of 2024, shooting for the same is set to start from November 2023

The global blockbuster, Kantara (2022) will soon get a second part. The shooting for Kantara 2 will commence in the month of November 2023 as per a report by Pinkvilla. The release is subsequently expected to take place in the latter half of 2024.

Kantara is a 2022 Malayalam film, which was written and directed by Rishab Shetty. The film marked a milestone in present-day Kannada cinema.

The film is in the stage of pre-production at the moment. According to reports, the schedule for the shooting of the sequel is already lined up. The shooting will start right from November 1, according to reports, and will continue for a period of four months.

The sequel of Kantara would be shot in Mangalore. Kantara (2022) was shot in Kandapura, which is also Shetty’s hometown.

A bigger budget would be involved in the production of Kantara 2, in comparison to Kantara (2022). Along with it, the sequel would also bring in a bigger cast.

Hombale Films, the production house of Kantara earlier reported in March during the occasion of Ugadi this year that the writing for the sequel had begun.

Kantara (2022) featured Rishab Shetty, Sapthami Gowda, Kishore, and Achyuth Kumar in some of the major roles.

The 2022 film was produced by Vijay Kiragandur.
