Honor 90 launch timeline in India revealed officially along with some key specs

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Honor has recently unveiled its latest Honor 90 smartphone in its home country and global markets as well. It was said that the company might launch this smartphone in India also but there was no official announcement made by the company. Recently it was tipped that this device could make its debut in India next month.

And now Realme’s former CEO, Madhav Sheth has officially confirmed in his #AskMadhav 2.0 special episode that Honor 90 is likely to launch in India soon (probably September 2023).

Along with that, he has also revealed that the upcoming smartphone will be getting 2 Android updates and 3 years of security updates while it is said to run on MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13. The device is confirmed to arrive with a smooth and clean UI while will be compatible with Google Mobile services.

With the launch of Honor 90, the company will be making its comeback after one year in the Indian market. Since the device has already made its debut in other global markets, let’s take a look at the specifications of the smartphone.

Honor 90: Specifications

The Honor 90 smartphone is powered by the upper midrange Qualcomm chipset – the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 (Accelerated Edition) and runs on the Android 13-based MagicOS 7.1 custom UI. The processor has a primary clock speed of 2.5GHz and is integrated with the Adreno 644 GPU. Two storage options of the smartphone have been made available in the European market – 8GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB.

For its display, the smartphone features an AMOLED display panel with a screen size of 6.7 inches and a screen resolution of 1200 x 2664 pixels. The display also supports a refresh rate of 120Hz, a peak brightness rate of 1600 nits, and a screen density of 435 PPI. Coming to its cameras, the device at its rear sports a triple camera setup with a main camera of 200MP, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth camera. On its display, the smartphone also features a centrally aligned punch-hole selfie camera of 50MP as well.

Regarding its battery backup, the smartphone packs a 5000 mAh battery with a 66W wired fast charge feature and a reverse wired fast charge feature of upto 5W.
