Meta Verified now available in India, huge amount of people across the country opts for the badge

Meta expanded Meta Verified to India on 7 June 2023. The service is now available for Indian users for a price of Rs 699 per month.

As of now, Meta Verified is available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, India, and Brazil.

Web-based users for Facebook will avail of the feature for a price of Rs 599 per month. Android and iOS users for all other platforms have to pay Rs 699 per month.

Ever since its launch, netizens across these countries applied for the badge in huge numbers. There have been mixed reactions against the availability of the Verified Badge easily with money. This reaction especially comes from the artists and content creator community.

A considerable number of artists and creators are of the opinion that the feature would give easy popularity to many. This will make the journey tougher for artists and creators who wanted to create a larger reach and follow with time and hard work.

If you want to obtain the Meta Verified feature you have to be at least 18 years of age. You will have to provide a government-issued identification document. The document should feature your name and photograph and it has to correspond to your Facebook or Instagram account.

Apart from this, you will require previous familiarity with the platforms and you need to have some content on your account.

Meta will safeguard the accounts with the Meta Verified badge from impersonation. Such customers will also receive genuine customer support instead of bot-generated feedback.
