Start Earning Early with New Levels of YPP

Google has reduced the levels for creators to become a part of the YouTube Partner Program(YPP), giving them access to features like channel memberships, Super Chat, Super Thanks, and the option to promote products with YouTube Shopping much early. The early access also enables YouTube creators to earn more quickly than before with fewer subscribers, watch hours, and short views.

Previously creators were only able to become a part of the YouTube Partner Program if they had 1000 subscribers and either 4,000 valid public watch hours in the past year or 10 million valid public Shorts views in the last 90 days. They were offered access to revenue sharing from ads and YouTube Premium, fan funding features, and the option to promote products with YouTube Shopping.

In comparison to this, now YouTube creators will only need 500 subscribers along with 3 valid public uploads in the past 90 days to apply. They should also either be having 3,000 public watch hours in the past year or 3 million valid Shorts views in the last 90 days to apply. After approval, creators will be offered fan funding features and the option to promote products with YouTube Shopping.

Currently, the new requirements are only updated in countries that include the U.S., U.K., Canada, Taiwan, and South Korea. The new requirements will slowly be expanded to other countries as well in the coming weeks. It should also be noted that any sort of artificially inflated engagements will get your application denied.
