OnePlus releases the very first Open Beta for OxygenOS 14 for OnePlus 11 in India and North America

For the past few weeks, OnePlus has been starting its OxygenOS 14 Closed Beta testing program for its flagship devices. This program was initiated from the latest OnePlus 11 device in order to receive the feedback of 500 selected community members about the version. After finishing the CBT program, the brand was supposed to start the Open Beta testing for its devices.

Well, the smartphone brand has now officially announced that the very first Open Beta for OxygenOS 14 is here for the OnePlus 11 users in India and North America. This build will allow the users to enjoy the improvements in security, performance optimization, and anamorphic design. While new features are added in user care and anamorphic design.

Some of the known issues in this OBT version mentioned by the brand are-

  • The flight icon displays on the status bar after turning off the flight mode.
  • Turning on the flight mode in the control center is not responsive.
  • Flashing back issue when entering Notes in the Shelf.
  • Black screen issue when opening the step tracker page through the health widget on the Shelf.
  • Dual dual-channel network acceleration function cannot be triggered automatically.
  • Sliding a finger on the icon cannot launch the app using Quick Launch.
  • The screen flashes during the application startup animation.
  • Up-swipe gesture probably fails.

The OnePlus 11 users are advised to keep their device in the latest OxygenOS 13.1 version. Also, make sure that the battery level is above 30% before application and that a minimum of 4GB storage space is available.

Application guide for Indian users-

  • Time of Application: From September 12 until a certain number of applications is reached (you must submit your application during this time, or the application channel will be closed)
  • Quota: 5000 users
  • Confirm your phone has been updated to the detectable version:

  • Go to Settings > About device > Tap up to date > Tap icon on the top right > Beta program > Follow the steps to apply
  • When to receive version: We will review your application within 5 workdays after the application channel is closed. If you pass the review, you will receive the version in the 3 workdays that follow.
  • How to download the version after the application passes: Settings > About device > Download Now.

MP to OBT upgrade guide—via Local OTA Update

Note: In order to upgrade to this build successfully, be sure that your device is in the designated OxygenOS 13.1 version  CPH2451_13.1.0.590(EX01). Please be sure to backup first.

  1. Download the designated ROM upgrade zip package from the specified server.
  2. Copy the ROM upgrade package to the phone storage.
  3. Go to Settings -> About device -> Version -> Click Build number 7 times and enter the password, now you are in the developer mode.
  4. Go back to Settings -> About device -> Up to date -> Click the top right button -> Local install -> Click on the corresponding installation package -> Extract -> Upgrade -> System upgrade completed to 100%.
  5. After the upgrade is complete, click Restart.
  6. Update Successful
