Apple to sell “Made-in-India” iPhone on the launch day for the first time

Excited reading the headline? Well from a year there were quite a few reports published claiming that Apple would shift from selling China-made smartphones but there was no exact information that exactly when the company would be doing so and whether Apple fans in India would get to see an iPhone that is made in India.

Seems like very soon the wish of the Indian consumers will be granted as Bloomberg has now reported that Apple will sell a “Made-in India” iPhone 15 on the launch day for the first time.

Well, Apple will be unveiling the much-awaited iPhone 15 series today at its Wonderlust event which will also be live-streamed on the company’s official website. Though the vast majority of models in the series will come from China the company plans to make the Indian-built iPhone 15 model available in the South-Asian country and some other regions.

This step by Apple would surely highlight the growing production powers of India while it will also narrow the gap between the company’s India operations. Usually, the sale of the latest iPhone models starts 10 days after its launch hence iPhone 15 series is also expected to continue the same pattern.

However, it is said that there can be slight delays with Indian-built devices that could occur because of unforeseen logistics bottlenecks.
