All you need to know about Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

One of the most exciting and anticipated anime titles is coming to Netflix in the coming time. The show is a spinoff of CD Projekt Red’s popular Cyberpunk 2077 game is all set to take you deep in the edgerunners world.

However, Netflix, Studio Trigger, and CD Projekt Red haven’t revealed much details about Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, although, Netflix has shared more updates about the 10-part story at the Geeked Week 2022 virtual event.

Hence, here are some details you must know about Cyberpunk; Edgerunners;

Cyberpunk; Edgerunners is all set to hit globally on Netflix in 2022, but we have not come across an official release date yet.

During Geeked Week 2022 virtual event on June 8, Netflix announced that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will be released in September 2022. Now, on August 17, the anime’s official website announced its release date: September 13, 2022.

The show’s official synopsis has confirmed that the 10 episodes will tell, “A street kid trying to survive in a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner – a mercenary outlaw also known as cyberpunk.”

As the show is targeting kids, there are chances that there will be less sexual content in the Netflix series as compared to the videogame.

The trailer for Edgerunners revealed that Martinez is a street kid from Santo Domingo that turns personal tragedy into an opportunity to get inside the world of edgerunners.

Moreover, the trailer was launched on 1st August at the Geeked Week 2022.

Cyberpunk; Edgerunners tells a lone 10-episode story about a street kid – David – trying to survive in a technology hyped and body modification-obsessed city of the future time, Night City. On the verge of having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner—a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.
