Apple releases its teaser for upcoming Apple headset: The Reality Pro

There have been rumors for many years that cross-reality devices are being developed by Apple. Now the company officially announced the name of the headset as “Reality Pro” today with the publication of an official teaser.

The rumors state that Apple would reportedly introduce the headgear at a springtime event before its Worldwide Developers Conference in June. Along with this, Apple has already been testing and working on third-party applications with a selected group of well-known software developers. The operating system for the device, code-named “Borealis” within the organization and well-known as xrOS will be revealed before releasing the headset.

The next generation of display technology, as well as its projected cost and release date, have also been the subject of several reports about headsets. It is expected that the Reality Pro headset will compete with the Meta Quest 2, PSVR 2, and all other top VR headsets. The headset has also been reported to have a number of cutting-edge technologies, such as more than a dozen cameras to record and translate physical movements into virtual movements, two 4K micro-LED screens, iris scanning, facial expression tracking, powerful Apple silicon processors, and more.

The headset will be completely different from the anticipated Apple Glasses which will be using AR technology that overlays virtual objects, UIs, and characters on the top of the user’s real-world environment.
