Microsoft issues solution for the Access apps that failed to open after installing

Microsoft has issued a solution to fix a problem which caused MS Access runtime applications to not to open after installing. Accordingly, Microsoft’s official community website and Reddit were the ones who triggered this issue for MS Access 2016 and MS Access 2013.

Microsoft stated that for Office installation striked by this issue, the users may get a statement saying “Requested type library or wizard is not a VBA project” while opening an ACCDE/MDE file. Also, some of the users may get an error saying “Can’t complete the output operation” while trying to export the file to text or Excel files. However, the fix will be made available on all the affected Access versions between July 25 and August 9.

Initially, Redmond claimed that a fix has been already given for the customers who were using the retail versions of Office 2016, 2019 and 2021, and for Microsoft 365 Apps Current Channel. However, the company has adviced the Access users who cannot re-make their ACCDE/MDE files to reduce the issue can erase the annoying updates to solve the problems.
