Vivo X Fold 2 and Flip launched in China, get to know all about it here

Finally, after a long wait Vivo announced its first flip phone X Flip and the latest foldable phone X Fold2 in China. With Snapdragons 8 Gen 2 processor X Fold 2 has become the first foldable to have it. Both of the smartphones sport 120 Hz refresh AMOLED display.

Display

It comes with an 8.03-inch internal 2K+ display and a 6.53-inch 1080p external E6 AMOLED LTPO screen that features a 120 Hz refresh rate. The screen has a SCHOTT UTG glass cover and it comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor on the outer and inner display.

A significant change in the hinge

Vivo has made some significant changes in the hinges that make it not only durable but also lightweight. It uses Vivo’s self-developed FS54 aviation-grade material which is lighter and of higher strength than the previous one. The company has also focused on reducing the thickness and weight of the hinge. Its thickness has been reduced by 2 mm and weight by 33g. The folding life of the hinge is 33% higher than the previous one with a 4,00,000 times folding life.

Performance

This smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC for fast and hassle-free performance. It packs 12 GB RAM. As per the company it has scored 1.348 million points on AnTuTu. Its SPU security chip provides comprehensive security and privacy protection.

Camera

As far as its camera is concerned Vivo X Fold 2 sports a triple camera setup on the rear side of the phone. It has a 50 MP rear camera with VCS bionic spectrum technology which is developed by Vivo and Sony. It reduces the noise and increases the color reproduction ability for the best quality image.

It comes with Vivo’s intelligently self-developed imaging chip V2. While shooting night scenes the brightness is increased, and noise reduction is used thus highlighting the details of dark parts and capturing night scenes in the best possible way.

Battery

This smartphone packs a 4,800 mAh battery which supports 120 W wired fast charging and takes just 26 minutes to charge it up to 100%.

Vivo X Flip comes with a 6.74-inch AMOLED foldable display that features 120 Hz and a 3-inch large external screen. Its mirror application opening feature will let users open several apps on the external screen without opening the inner screen. It comes with the world’s first TUV Rheinland certification that can achieve a folding life of 500,000 times. For fast and hassle-free performance, this phone packs a 4400 mAh battery with the support of 44W fast charging.

As far as its camera is concerned this smartphone comes with a dual camera setup on the rear side of the phone. It features a 50 MP main camera and a 12 MP Ultra-wide camera. The front side of the phone sports a 32 MP camera. It packs 12 GB RAM with 512 GB of massive internal storage.

Price

The Vivo X Fold2 has been launched in black, blue, and red colors. It comes in two variants 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB storage, the former one is priced at RMB 8,999(Rs 1,07,450) and the latter is priced at RMB 9,999(Rs 1,194,100).

Vivo X Flip has also arrived in the same configuration as the X Fold 2. It has been priced at RMB 5,999 (Rs 71,650) and RMB 6,699( Rs 80,000). Vivo X Flip can be bought in shades like black, gold, and purple.
