iQOO 12 series camera specifications tipped

iQOO is reportedly working on the iQOO 12 series of flagship phones. As per a recent report, the company could be planning to launch it in November in China. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to share leaked information about what looks like the camera specifications of the iQOO 12 and 12 Pro.

According to the tipster, the upcoming smartphone series will have a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50H primary camera with OIS support. It will be accompanied by a 50-megapixel JN1 ultra-wide lens and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

Hence, it appears that the iQOO 12 and 12 Pro will have the same set of rear-facing cameras. The leak also suggests that the lineup will not have a periscope telephoto camera, as was previously reported. It is likely that the iQOO 12 Pro may feature the Vivo V3 image processing chip, while the iQOO 12 may not have a dedicated image processing chip.

The iQOO 12 series is also said to be equipped with the E7 AMOLED panel, which offers a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It is likely that the vanilla model could be equipped with a flat display, whereas the Pro variant will have a curved-edge screen.

Both phones are said to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is expected to debut later this month. There is a possibility that both phones could be packed with different-sized batteries. The Pro model may support 200W fast charging, whereas the iQOO 12 may offer 100W charging.
