iQOO 12 tipped to feature a telephoto camera

iQOO is one of the brands that is expected to launch new flagship phones by the end of this year. It is speculated that iQOO may unveil the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro in December of this year. A new Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station has reiterated the key specifications of the iQOO 12.

According to the tipster, the iQOO 12 features a new base material for its flat display that supports 2K resolution, removing the conventional plastic bracket. Despite minimal changes in size, the key focus is on reducing the phone’s overall dimensions and bezels.

The tipster further said that the iQOO 12 is equipped with an OV50H primary camera along with a mid-range telephoto lens. Past reports have revealed that the device will have a 50-megapixel primary camera. The tipster did not reveal the megapixel count of the telephoto camera.

It will also feature a bit battery that supports a 100W charging battery, a metal central frame, and an in-house developed chipset that appears on the Vivo V-series imaging chip.

Previous reports have also claimed that the iQOO 12 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It is speculated that the device will arrive with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB / 1 TB of UFS 4.0s storage. The iQOO 12 series is expected to run on Android 14, which will have a layer of Origin OS 4.0 on top.
