Android 14 based MIUI Custom Skin Now Available for Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro and 12T Devices

Three of Xiaomi’s smartphone devices will be receiving the MIUI custom user interface based on the Android 14 operating system. The users of the mentioned smartphones can apply and receive it as an OTA update.

Xiaomi smartphones which include the flagship 13, 13 Pro, and 12T devices are the three eligible devices to receive the update. At the moment, the brand is recruiting testers on a first-come, first-serve basis and 2,000 users will be recruited for each of the models. The user must also ensure that their devices currently run on an MIUI Global Stable ROM.

Here’s how to apply

Interested users of the mentioned three devices can apply to receive the update by visiting the respective update page and submitting the application form filling in the necessary details, including the MI account ID, correctly. Also, join the telegram group and backup the device data before updating.

To note, Xiaomi will not be sending any notifications or updates regarding the update directly to the users and they’ll only be receiving it via the telegram group. All the applications will also be reviewed and verified before rolling out the update to the applicants.

To add, users who had already registered for the beta testing program will receive the update sooner than others.

Other things to keep in mind

Users should have the device signed in with the Mi account that has been mentioned on the application form and should be willing to take any risks that may occur on updating the device. They should also be willing to work with engineers in order to resolve the issues. If possible, they should also be actively able to participate in the test, feedback, and suggestions process as well. Most importantly, the user must be aged at least 18 years or more.
